By downloading, installing, or using Remoto ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree to these terms, please don't use the App.
Remoto is a companion app that allows you to control AI assistants running on your Mac from your iPhone. It acts as a remote interface — the App facilitates communication between your devices but does not process, store, or have access to your conversations.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code.
When using Remoto, you agree to:
Remoto allows you to interact with AI assistants (currently Claude, with more coming soon). These AI services are provided by third parties and are subject to their own terms of service and usage policies. We are not responsible for the AI's responses, capabilities, availability, or any content generated by the AI. Your use of AI services through Remoto is subject to the terms of the respective AI provider.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your information (spoiler: we don't collect any).
We may release updates to the App from time to time. These updates may include bug fixes, new features, or security improvements. While we'll try to maintain backward compatibility, we can't guarantee that all features will remain unchanged.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your devices. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or us.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
